SUNSET RESIDENCE
The Sunset Residence posed a unique challenge: a total renovation of a 1960s ranch-style home in the Pacific Palisades. The clients loved the location and wanted to update the house, but the new design needed to align within the existing footprint of the home. Krueger and his team created a sleek, modern design, adding elements of water, air, earth and fire to infuse the home with texture and character, and make it feel warm and inviting. In addition to a unique entryway and second-floor addition, Krueger and his team maximized use of the site by reimagining the back and side yards. They established several gathering spaces, including an outdoor dining area covered by a steel trellis. They chose wall-mounted SL-Series heaters for the space because their slim profile and stainless steel finish complemented the trellis design, and enables the homeowners to angle the heaters as needed to provide optimal warmth in any season.
